Saturday, 4/11, 9:15 AM - 12:30 PM Distribute groceries to families at John Martinez School in New Haven. During this distribution, volunteers will help by: Distribute food items Restocking food as needed Break down boxes Check in guests (bilingual English and Spanish speaking volunteers preferred for this role) Volunteers maybe asked to do the following: Lift boxes/foods weighing at least 25-30 pounds repeatedly Set-up tables Break down boxes Pick up trash and breakdown boxes after the event ends
Volunteers are needed to help assemble literacy kits for children in our area. Each kit will be comprised of a packet, a book, and fun activities themed around the book of the month. Volunteer Shifts Include: Wednesday, December 10th, 11 AM - 1 PM Volunteers will be asked to do the following: Lift boxes filled with books weighing 5-10 pounds Staple packets together Stuff bags with all the components for each kit
Lend a hand at the CT Diaper Bank! Volunteers are needed to help sort, count, repackage, label, and box diapers and other hygiene products before they are distributed to families in need. Volunteer Shifts Include: Tuesday, April 7th 2026 Tuesday, May 5th 2026 Volunteers will be asked to do the following: Lift boxes weighing 15-20 pounds Break down boxes Be on their feet for long periods (chairs are available for anyone who might need one)
