Lend a hand at the CT Diaper Bank! Volunteers are needed to help sort, count, repackage, label, and box diapers and other hygiene products before they are distributed to families in need. Volunteer Shifts Include: Tuesday, May 6th, 9 AM - 11 AM Tuesday, June 3rd, 9 AM - 11 AM Volunteers will be asked to do the following: Lift boxes weighing 15-20 pounds Break down boxes Be on their feet for long periods (chairs are available for anyone who might need one)
Monday, 6/16: 1 PM - 3:30 PM Lend a hand at the Community Dining Room in Branford as we will help to brighten up their communal dining space! Join us and help to: Paint parts of thier facility Deep clean the kitchen Clean up and organize the dining room
Tuesday, 6/17: 9 AM - 11 AM Support a community hub at the Guilford Food Bank! Sign up to clean and beautify their outdoor space! During this event, volunteers will: Paint the Food Bank's doors Trim hedges Plant new flowers Weed out beds
Wednesday, 6/18: 4:15 PM - 6 PM In partnership with Hamden Public School and CT Foodshare, United Way of Greater New Haven will host a mobile pantry for Hamden families! Sign up today and help increase access to food! Volunteers will be asked to do the following: Lift boxes weighing at least 25-30 pounds repeatedly Set-up tables Serve the community without any biases or discrimination Break down boxes Pick up trash around the truck area This event is rain or shine!
