Women United: Inspiring Change in Greater New Haven

Friends and colleagues - For my birthday this year, I am asking friends and family to help me celebrate by making a gift to United Way of Greater New Haven (UWGNH) in honor of my big day! I'm a longtime UWGNH supporter and even a Yale champion on their past posters. Recently, I've been active with Women United of UWGNH, which helps provide secure jobs, basic needs, and safe homes for women and their families, thru volunteer service, discussion, and fund raising. It's a great group, so I hope you'll join me in supporting this important work. From cradle to career, we help kids experience lifelong success. That means helping them get a strong start, continuing to spark their curiosity and making sure teachers, caregivers and parents can better support children’s healthy growth and development. When all kids have access to quality education they have brighter futures and help make our community stronger. Together, we will: Nurture children and youth through the ongoing upheaval of the pandemic. Create stronger social-emotional connections between children and their caregivers through training and supports. Provide thousands of early learners with books, supplies and academic supports. Expand programs for thousands of school-age youths to participate in summer enrichment activities.
